Could Your Land be a Wildlife Refuge?

The NSW Government’s Biodiversity Conservation Trust are encouraging landholders to participate in private land conservation.

Is your property larger than 10ha with a significant area of bushland?

You may be eligible to apply for a Wildlife Refuge Agreement grant. For 3 years you can apply for up to $2,000 per year to conserve your property up to a total of $6,000.

Wild Habitats Inc. can help

We can help apply for the grant and create a Wildlife Refuge Plan which involves:

  • A desktop survey from Atlas of Living Australia which will show all flora and fauna in a 1km radius from a GPS position.
  • 2 site visits to place and collect wildlife cameras and look for signs of wildlife such as tracks, pellets and do a bird survey.
  • Create a plan for the restoration work required over 3 years to create habitat and restore degraded areas.
